What can An Online CBT Therapist do for me?
The way we live and communicate has changed immensely in recent years. For example, we can be working one week in one part of the country and the week after on the other side of the globe. Therefore, it can be adaptable to your changing needs and accessed from anywhere with internet connection.
Online CBT Therapy is the way that I can be flexible to deliver CBT. Hence, if your internet is not working then we can use the phone, or if you are travelling in public transport and wish to access the service this could be done by messaging, and your confidentiality would not be at risk.
Furthermore, Online CBT Therapy is inclusive and accessible to many. For instance, from people living in remote areas to inner city full-time parents/workers. Also, it enables people that may have accessibility needs to access therapy via messaging service. Some people find stigmatising attending face to face clinics. As a result, Online CBT overcomes these and other barriers.
Online CBT therapy can be accessed at times and places of your convenience. In addition to this, you can be in your own space rather than in a clinic, where you have to travel back and for.
Online CBT Therapy offers confidential, flexible and professional access to CBT therapy. I follow best practice standards of practice and I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office. For this reason, I keep all clients records anonymised on encrypted devices. Moreover, as I will ask for details of your home address, GP and previous relevant history. Your confidentiality and your personal information records safety and security are paramount in my practice. I always encourage people to use services that have end to end encrypted technology, such as Skype, Zoom, HangOuts, WhatsApp or others.
